Our Parade is the conerstone of our organization. A lighter then normal turnout for our big day but those that attended had nothing but high praise for the organization of the day. The preparation paid off; The Ceremonial Unit with a display of Flags led off our Parade followed by Our Steuben Banner and Our Marchers, followed by a slew of German Marchers. Behind them were the rigs, Ladder 343, Rescue 343, an FDNY Pumper and Rear Mount Ladder Truck, then more German Marchers. A fun day in NYC and all performed on one of the best weather days in recent history. The Steuben Gods were with us. It could have been a storm driven Parade but the High Pressure System prevented Hurrican Lee from entering our air space. At the conclusion of the march on East 87th Street we took our traditional Group Picture and then continued walking over to our Collation at St. Ignatius Loyola School Cafeteria at 84th & Park.
Food, Fun and Refreshments & Raffles were enjoyed by a packed Collation Hall of marchers, both FDNY & German Visitors. And then the bands came in. Its something you just can convey to you all of how great this day was, you have to be there! So listen up all...Where else can you go with your family and enjoy a Parade like this. Your Family gets to ride on the apparatus (under Adult Supervision). You get to march thru the streets of Manhattan under the security of the NYPD. You get to enjoy free food & refreshments and hang out in a German Oktoberfest atmosphere. I think there's nowhere you can do this except at Our Parade. Enjoy the Pictures below...

Our Meetings return to the third Wednesday of the month, except for the December Meeting which will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month for Our Christmas Meeting-our next big event.
